BPCA to lead Redbridge's Biggest Queens Jubilee Event!

The BPCA has today been notified that a grant has been awarded for a Queens Jubilee Celebration for the London Borough of Redbridge. One of our key aims when starting the group was to increase local awareness of the existence of our tiny diaspora.  Arguably we are fast becoming the most read about ethnic community in our local borough.  We are seeking participants and performers for our procession and main stage event which for the first time will be in Ilford's town centre.

Our event is to be held on the 4th and 5th June from 12:00 - 18:00 and will involve face-painting, art competitions, music, singing, drama and dance, clay workshops, eco-workshops, sports activities and much more.

We will be partnering with the local Redbridge Carnival group which is also chaired by Wilson Chowdhry.
