BPCA Protest March on the 31st July 2009.

The BPCA held a very successful protest march on the 19th December 2009. The event was attended by Green MEP Jean Lambert and Baroness Cox from the Queensbury seat in the House of Lords. Since the protets we have held a meeting with the Pakistani Embassy and thay have agreed to forward our concerns to the Pakistani Government. The Pakistani Embassy have also agreed to a follow up meeting in June.

Great impetus was created by our event and other global events that have resulted in news of a reform to the existing Blasphemy law in Pakistan:

New reforms on their way

We still want more reforms although our primary objective is the abrogation of the laws in their entirety:

Our model for reform of the Blasphemy Law

I would like to remind all our community in the UK that we are holding our second UK protest on the 31st of July 2010 (the official anniversary of the Korian incident). The route will be identical to the one we used for our first UK protest. We would appreciate if readers could advise us of your interesting in attending by posting a comment to this page.

Already Victor John from Huddersfield has led the way....read comments pages!

  6. "And Joshua said unto all the people [of Israel], . . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Josh. 24:2, 15).

I will be out on the 31st of July - I pray this time we will be supported by more of our Pakistani Christian Families in the UK

I have spoken with several pastors and hope that more of them will sign up to attend our protest. If you belong to a Pakistani Christian Church and cannot see the name of your Pastor on our list, please sign up yourselves and challenge your church and Pastor to do the same.

  8. I just got back from Lahore, Pakistan, where I visited four churches set up by a brother in my congregation in Croydon (Greater London). He and his wife are here in the UK by God's will (the wife having fled as her father had vowed to kill her following her conversion to Christianity and her nuptials to a Christian man. I have a fresh burden for Pakistani Christians and I intend, God-willing, to attend the protest march on 31 July 2010.

  9. Dear Brother Wilson:

Thanks for the imformations. You are very good people for what you are doing for the Christians in Pakistan, otherwise in Edmontion it is total darkness none is ready to come on the road and register their protest. Just sit in thier homes and talk. Tried my best many times to organizr them but failed bitterly, but I will try to organize them as long as I live.

    Best Regards

    Nelson

  10. Dear Wilson!

May Lord God's Eternal Peace and Love stays in your life forever and may your cause be succeeded.

I am very much amazed to see this site and a Pakistani Christian working like you. Seriously, its more than quake in my heart. As Mr. Nelson mentioned above that he worked on similar goals individually but he couldnt succeeded, so do I. However, after reading these posts and website matter, I again want to be a part of your ambition. Morever, i have a real experience in this field and i really want to offer myself for your cause. I really don't know whether i will meet your criteria or not but m always here if you need any help or information.

I belong to a Bahar Colony Lahore that is enriched with hundreds of Christians and no doubt most of them are still suffering in a same dark cell where they were in previous 6 decades.

May God Bless you and your team.
    Peace!
