Rev Amelia Jacob speaking at our 2009 protest.
We are pleased to announce that we have received news from St John's Church, Alperton, that thy will be donating £250.00 to the BPCA for our regular work. We are very pleased about this as it provides us with much needed funds to continue our work and to expand our regular programme of events.
Canon Toby Crowe from the church has always been very supportive of our work and will be speaking at our peace rally on the 2nd July.. Rev Amelia Jacob former Asian Minister for St James Church will be joining him and is one of our communities foremost women advocates.
Toby Crowe from St James Alperton Church said;
"We support BCPA for two reasons.
The first is because of the good work they do in keeping the situation in Pakistan before the eyes of the British church. Our brothers and sisters in that country need to know that they have our prayers and solidarity.
The second reason is that we felt it was important for believers of Pakistani background, living in the UK, to have a network of support and prayer.
We know that members of our own church have been blessed by BCPA’s ministry. We want to see that blessing on others too."
We hope this donation will encourage other churches to support our regular revenue needs and we acknowledge the large number of churches that supported our Pakistan Flood Appeal.
Without donations such as these our group activities will become stagnant and fruitless and we are most grateful to the Parish council for making this decision in our favour.
