Rev Amelia Jacob at our first protest, formerly from St James Alperton
St James Alperton a church who have continually supported the work of the BPCA have donated £200 towards our Peace concert in Trafalgar Square on the 10th March 2012. Rev Toby Crowe said;
"St James’s Church is delighted to sponsor the event on
10th March though sad that such an event is still needed.
We have a long-standing commitment to Christians who face persecution
and a particular concern for Christians in Pakistan because so many of our own
congregation have family backgrounds there.
We hope that many Christians and people of other faiths will join
together on 10th March to remind the Pakistani government of its
obligations.
Muhammed Ali Jinnah had a vision for a mature and tolerant country.
The eyes of the world are watching Pakistan. Can the government there still rise
to the challenge today?"
Rev Crowe will be joining us on the 10th and will be speaking at various points during the day.
We are still short of funds and would urge other groups and individuals to please donate if you can, to an event that will enhance our on-going campaign for justice.
If you would like to hold a stall at our event the fee for a 3m x 3m pitch will be £150.00. Please get in contact.
