Onward Christian Soldiers!

By Pazir Gul in Miranshah, Pakistan and Taskeen Khan in London (sic):

"England Political authorities have yet to find eight Pakistani Christians who were kidnapped from Razmak subdivision in North Waziristan nine days ago, sources said. Members of the Christian community had come to Razmak from Islamabad and Rawalpindi to attend a marriage. There names are Pastor Younas Masih, Mushtaq Masih, Samson Masih, Aziz Mohmund, George Masih and Sharif Masih. They were returning to their hometowns when their vehicle was stopped at Kum Sarobi area, the sources said. They said that gunmen took away eight Christians to some unknown destination. According to sources, officials believe that they have been kidnapped for ransom. They said efforts were under way to trace them.APP adds: Meanwhile, federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti condemned the kidnapping of the Christians. The minister asked the authorities concerned to redouble their efforts to recover the innocent people."

We must continue our campaing for justice for religious minorities in Pakistan. It is essential that we work with wider groups to make sure our people - which now includes British Citizens in Pakistan are protected from the dangers of religious fanatics who have a proven history of violence in particular to Christian communities.
