In unity progress

It was great to see a grand memorial of the nature put on by the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams last night. It highlights the huge impact the loss of humanitarian Shahbaz Bhatti has had globally. Moreover, the very fact that head of the Catholic church in the UK, arranged a similar memorial on the same day starting at 17:30, illustrates Christians of all denominations recognise the works of the great man.

Last nights event at St Margaret's Church lead by the Archbishop of Canterbury was attended by a number of high profile dignitaries including, Foreign Office Minister MP Alistair Burt, His Excellency Wajid Shamsul Hasan High Commissioner of Pakistan, Alan Craig Leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance, Stuart Windsor of Christian Solidarity and other Christians from the group, Canon Yacub Masih and many more.

An emotional evening ended in some sombre reflection on the great achievements of a humanitarian whose works shall live on, through the legacy he leaves behind.
